The NPA are hugely disappointed that it has not proved possible to keep the Wasps Netball brand in existence and that the club has been removed from the Netball Superleague. The impact on NPA members formerly at Wasps Netball along with the rest of the squad and staff is devastating, but we will continue to be there for our members to support them through this difficult time.
We will continue to provide the players with help and advice and hope that most of the squad can find playing opportunities to pursue their netball careers this season. England Netball and the NSL board have confirmed that all clubs will be able to sign additional training partners for 2023 to keep alive the hope that some of the players will have the opportunity to be part of the NSL in the coming season.
All NPA members formerly at Wasps Netball will have our ongoing support and access to all our members services, which include welfare and wellbeing, legal and contractual advice and, through some of our partners, access to training and employment opportunities.
