Formed in 2018 the Netball Players Association (NPA) exists to provide a unified voice to promote and support the welfare of netball players in the UK. To enhance and support our growing role in the professionalisation of the sport the NPA is seeking to recruit a Chair for its Board of Directors.
Our strategic theme for 2024 and beyond is Realising Professionalisation. This will see the NPA working with members, stakeholders, and partners to articulate what professional netball could and should be in the medium and long term and leveraging our relationships across the sport to bring this vision to life. Positioning players at the heart of this process is vital for our members.
The Chair will be responsible for the leadership of the Board. Ensuring its effectiveness in all aspects of its role, including the scrutiny and oversight of the executive, the development of strategic goals and priorities and the assessment of the organisation’s performance in delivering first class services to our members.
A passion for women’s sport is essential as well as the skills, experience and time to carry out the important work on behalf of the organisation that comes with the position.
