The Netball Players Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Cat Watson to its Board.

Director of Women's Sport at Pitch International, Cat leads the women’s sports division for prominent London-based sports marketing agency, Pitch International, whose key rights holder clients include The FA, Six Nations, ECB, USGA and W Series.

With connections to many of the most prestigious organisations and athletes within sport, Cat has been at the forefront of driving forward key women’s sport properties.

Alongside heading up Pitch’s women’s sports team, Cat continues to draw on her legal background to provide commercial legal advice for all aspects of Pitch’s wider sports business, including media rights, advisory, sponsorship, events, athlete representation and documentary film production. A keen netballer, until her knees gave up on her(!), Cat remains involved in the game at grassroots level as Chair of Claygate Netball Club based in South London.

“I am delighted to be joining the NPA as a director at this pivotal but very exciting time for the sport. The NPA’s role will become increasingly important as the sport continues to evolve and professionalise. Netball has been a huge part of my life for many years, and I can’t wait to use my professional experience to help the NPA ensure that the game provides even more plentiful and fulfilling opportunities for players at the very top of the game.” Cat Watson

“We are thrilled to have secured Cat as a member of our Board. Cat’s experience with Pitch International in leading and promoting the commercial development of women’s sport will be invaluable as netball seeks to attract investment into the VNSL and further the professionalisation of the sport. Her experience of player representation will provide further support to the NPA to ensure that our members role and value is fully considered.” Liz Bloor, NPA Managing Director
