We are recruiting our next Chief Executive.
The Netball Players Association (NPA) is recruiting for a new Chief Executive, as founder and current CEO Liz Bloor prepares to retire in early 2027.
The NPA is a player collective representing professional and semi-professional netball players in the UK, committed to supporting the growth of the sport, promoting player welfare, and enhancing netball's visibility nationwide.
The Opportunity
The new Chief Executive will provide leadership and management across the NPA's purpose, vision and strategic priorities, leading the team to deliver excellent member services and strong stakeholder engagement with national governing bodies and NSL clubs. The role is part-time (60% FTE / 0.6 FTE), home-based with flexible hours, and requires occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership: Drive delivery of the NPA's strategic and annual goals, enhance the organisation's reputation as a progressive, high-achieving player association, support and develop the staff team, and work with the Board to uphold strong governance
Management and Governance: Deliver annual operational plans and budgets, maintain compliant policies and procedures, and manage finances and risk with relevant Board committees
Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with England Netball, the Netball Super League and its clubs, Wales Netball, Netball Scotland, and funding partners including the Jacobs Futura Foundation, NFP and Adidas
Who We're Looking For
Candidates should bring at least five years' management experience across strategic and operational delivery, strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience managing budgets and commercial contracts, and a track record of building and leading teams. Experience and knowledge of women's sport in the UK at elite level is essential, and prior experience in elite netball or the athlete welfare landscape is a plus. Educated to degree level or equivalent.
What We're Offering
Location: Home-based with occasional UK travel
Contract: Part-time (0.6 FTE), available freelance or as an employee, with a three-month probationary period
Salary: £50,000–£55,000 pro rata, dependent on experience
Reports to: Board Chair
Start date: November preferred, with up to a 3-month handover from the outgoing CEO
