THE NPA AND SWITCH THE PLAY FOUNDATION TEAM UP ON BRAND OF YOU

The NPA are proud to announce a new partnership with Switch the Play Foundation (StP) to deliver a package of support for NPA members to support their transition needs.

Switch The Play are the only UK charity supporting sports people to develop their life outside of sport. They are proud to support NPA members with developing their lives off the court to help them be better people and better athletes.

Through this relationship, NPA members have been able to sign up as Switched On members. This gives them access to support with creating a life outside of sport plan, help with developing their Wakelet profile (including the #WakeletWebinar series), discounted prices on open masterclasses/coaching and mentoring, peer-to-peer support and other exclusive content. As a result, StP have recently signed up 30+ NPA members as Switched On sportspeople, all of who can access the support when they need it.

Brand of You is one of Switch The Play’s most popular masterclasses, and the first masterclass to be delivered online. Through Zoom, the NPA members were able to explore and learn more about who they are and what they are passionate about, what a brand is and how they can develop their own personal brand.

"It was great to have Leon talking to us as he knows how it feels to transition to life after sport and is so approachable. I thought we got lots of practical advice on making our own brands and it was also engaging and interactive so we can also take ideas from each other. Gee from St James Place talked to us about transferable skills which we often underestimate and I’m feeling excited to explore more options in life and work outside of sport."

"It was really informative and great to hear some tips on transitioning out of sport from a retired elite athlete. It's good to know that the NPA have made a link with The Switch The Play Charity because it covers a lot of topics that as players we really wanted additional support on."
