The Netball Players Association are delighted to have been awarded a grant from the Tom Maynard Trust to contribute towards our 2019 NPA Welfare and Education Roadshow.
The Tom Maynard Trust has a fantastic reputation of supporting many players associations, including the Professional Cricketers’ Association in England and Wales, the Rugby Players’ Association in England, Rugby Players Ireland and the Welsh Rugby Union, the Professional Footballers’ Association in England and the Ladies European Tour golf, to provide support for raising awareness of some of the pitfalls of a career in sport, helping with education, induction and careers programmes for young professionals making their way in sport.
The Tom Maynard Trust is also a proud supporter of Mental Health Charter For Sport through their work with the Professional Players’ Federation.
Supported by one of our three welfare partners, the NPA will be visiting all of the 8 English based Superleague clubs to meet our current members, increase our membership base in addition to producing an electronic brochure around Welfare advice and support for the roadshow.
